The Right Honourable Datuk Patinggi (Dr) Abang Haji Abdul Rahman Zohari bin Tun Datuk Abang Haji Openg launched the Sarawak Travel app and Web Portal on February 19, 2020 as a new initiative to promote Sarawak in order to capture more tourists to Sarawak. Sarawak Travel App and Web Portal was a strategic partnership and collaborative effort by Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture, Sarawak Multimedia Authority (SMA) and University Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS) which aims to digitalize major components of Sarawak tourism industry.
The Sarawak Travel App is an interactive travel companion ever, allowing you to browse through more than 300 listings; find the best hotels, dine in the most exquisite restaurants, discover the local attractions.
The apps will display the Sarawak Travel App as a New Initiative to Promote Sarawak information include Sarawak Cultural Village, Fort Margherita and Old Court House; View 360 degree panoramic images of local attractions such as the Kuching Waterfront, Mulu National Park; Locate and Savor Sarawak Dishes; try virtual tour and presence in a traditional long house; plan and arrange tours; and arrange and view transportation facilitation information.
Besides that, on the Sarawak Travel app, attractive contents as well as other services were crucial to enable tourists to see all the interesting products and places of interest but also book a trip directly.
The digitalization of the tourism industry aspires to allow seamless travel experience for both domestic and international tourists of Sarawak. The Official Sarawak Tourism Board Official App is free and easy to use:
