Sarawak Electronic Wallet

On Nov 15, 2017, the state government launched the nation’s first e-wallet Sarawak Pay, a mobile app that allows cashless payment at participating retailers in the state.
The launch of the Sarawak Pay application has also made Sarawak the first state in Malaysia to implement an electronic wallet (e-wallet) system.

Sarawak Pay is an initiative introduced by the State Government to enable Sarawakians to make any utility bill payments and cashless assessment rates.
Sarawak Pay has made all payments between the government and the people easier because Sarawakians no longer need to pay cash bills to the government.
Sarawak Pay has a scan and pays feature that allows each payment to be initiated by scanning the QR code on the bill or by scanning the QR code displayed by the service.
This initiative reflects Sarawak’s ambition and desire to support digital technology in the business world.

• 13,080 registered merchants Sarawak Pay
